Wooden moulds used to create surreal concrete monument in Mexico
These wooden moulds were used to construct parts of El Castillo and Las Pozas; over 36 surrealistic structures were built in concrete over a 20 year period.
A room where the moulds are kept; we were allowed to have a look inside some of them, to try and figure out how they were made…
Showing each other the drawings we’d made of what forms the moulds could have potentially made; at this point we hadn’t yet visited Las Pozas, so it was a case of reversing out the forms from the moulds, or parts-of-moulds.
