Happy St David’s Day/ Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Sant

No leeks, but…

Made these St David’s Day treats below using the Welsh Cake recipe from BBC Good Food (I didn’t use the lard though – just doubled the butter)

They only take about 10 mins to make, but a bit like pancakes (Shrove Tuesday’s next week, don’t forget!) they get better the more you make. It takes a bit for the pan to get to the right temperature – I used a cast iron griddle – so the first couple were either underdone or burnt.

The rest were very tasty with a nice cup of tea :)
