Food dye knitting

Just had a go and hand dyeing some white wool with food dye… We don’t have kool aid over here so thought I’d try some supercook food colouring I have in the kitchen.. Managed to get a good range of colours from just red, green and blue… not sure how fast it is though!

Finished one side of the Market bag going up to Nottingham on the train on Saturday.. After being a real thicky with the stitch a few times, by the third cast on I had it cracked… Am using a Debbie Bliss Cotton DK (green) and the two bamboo yarns from my secret pal :) … ...

Having a go at knitting with the bamboo and cotton yarn my SP sent me, and make this market bag… Much better than plastic carriers! Bamboo must be as strong as cotton no? :) Also made this yarn cupcake as my spoil-ee doesn’t want anything edible sent to her!…

Just wanted to say well done to my mum today. Last week she ran in Race for Life and raised over £500, today she qualified as a City of London Guide -  and gets to meet the Lord Mayor and get a badge in July!. So anyhow this daughter is very proud of her mum ...

M took me for a birthday lunch at Terre a Terre in Brighton… deelish! It was also the first day of proper June sunshine here in London, so predictibly the Brighton train was packed to the roof with day trippers to the seaside. It was quite romantic actually, something age-old about the desire to wander ...
