So this is the resulting scarf – it was pretty quick to do (all garter stitch) but was fun knitting with the different textured wool… The boucles and ribbons weren’t actually as tangly as I thought they would be – in fact for me it was easier to knit with than cotton (I’ve discovered I just can’t cope with pure cotton…. cotton mixes are better…)
Mum was v. happy as they are her favourite colours – sea greens and lilacs…
Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Fowler, who got married today – I hope you both had a lovely day (the sun came out for you especially!). Me and M went out to Syon Park to check out the London Butterfly House (I only found out about this from a news item reporting that it’s closing in October – go visit it now, before it goes!). It was great, with butterflies flitting all around you, gliding like small birds (real small birds were next door in the aviary) and there is a reptile / insect bit next door (which is where these beauties live). I only saw the little lizards head in the corner when I got home and looked through the photos.. M had another Offline at the Prince Albert which went down a storm – much dancing and beer was had…
Easter dancing with the Actionettes and Action Men at Viva Cake in Bethnal Green… Amazing cakes, tea served by rollerskating ladies, snakes & ladders sets on every table, a dance class, us dancing and more cake! Miss Marmosette also made her debut…
Oh and I just found an interview with Miss Scarlette by Leona on her Lady Luck Rules Ok! blog…

Loving the yarns in their balls – will the scarf come out as nice?
Very proud of my mum as she has put her name down to run in the City of London Race for Life event in June. It is to raise money for Cancer Research UK… If you’d like to sponsor her then you can do it online… thank you…
